Sand Cast Products
Sand casting is pouring molten metal into a cavity sand mold (made of an inorganic binder combined with refractory sand), and allowing the metal to cool and solidify in it. This casting method is widely used and can be applied to a variety of alloy materials, and can produce complex and diverse shapes.
To achieve finer dimentional tolerance, master molds are created with CNC, and repeatedly verified by portable laser size scanner
Various materials are available:
- Iron-based alloys (stainless steel, high-alloy cast iron, heat-resistant steel, duplex stainless steel…etc.)
- Nickel-based alloys (Inconel®, Monel®, Incoloy®, Hastelloy®… and other alloys)
- Cobalt-based alloys (Stellite®, HAYNES® series alloys)
- Customized alloys
Features
Sand casting is the oldest known casting process, dating back to 1000 BC. However, it is still an indispensable metal forming method in the industry and cannot be replaced. TCA’s sand casting is mainly used for large-piece castings, and using inert gas protection to improve the cleanliness of molten metal. Castings with complex shapes and special alloy can be made according to the needs of customers.
Wide range of casting sizes and high shape complexity
Single piece: length 8m, weight 2000kg
Applications
We provide various kinds of products, and the applicable industries include aerospace, petrochemical, energy, pharmaceutical…etc. Suitable material selection can be made according to the working environment, and there are corresponding solutions for extremely severe environments such as strong acid, strong alkali, high loading in high-temperature environment, high-temperature corrosion, high-temperature wear and even more complex environments.
Furnace fittings need to withstand high temperature and corrosive working environment, and most of them are made by heat-resistant steel with high Ni and Cr content
Customize different forms of pump parts, select suitable materials for different environments such as acid and alkali corrosion, abrasion or high temperature
Large-sized special alloy valves including gate valves, ball valves, ball plug valves, check valves, tank bottom valves…etc.
